A transcript is a complete record of all courses taken and grades received at Moraine Valley. Letter grades earned in developmental and remedial courses will appear on the transcript, but the grades earned in these courses will not be calculated in the GPA that appears on the transcript.
Moraine Valley offers online transcript ordering available to students 24/7 using technology provided by Parchment. Parchment is one of education’s most trusted intermediaries for electronic records. Students are able to request and track their transcripts online via Parchment.
Moraine Valley will process the student's official transcript to any college, university, agency, or person named.
Fees for transcripts requested online are as follows:
Until Dec. 15, 2023 - $9 per transcript
Dec. 16, 2023 to Dec. 15, 2024 - $9.50 per transcript
Dec. 16, 2024 to Dec. 15, 2025 - $10 per transcript
Dec. 16, 2025 to Dec. 15, 2026 - $10.50 per transcript
The in-person transcript fee is $15 per transcript.
Requests for transcripts can be made:
Online: If you have an account with Parchment from a previous institution (i.e., high school, college), you can use the same credentials to log in.
In-person: Forms are available in the Cashier’s Office, Building S, Room S105. The cashier will direct students for transcript pick-up.
Unofficial transcripts may be viewed by current students through MVConnect.
Release of Transcripts with past due balance:
In accordance with the Student Debt Assistance Act (110 ILCS 66/), the college will release an official transcript to a current or former student if the request is to:
• Complete a job application;
• Transfer from one institution of higher education to another;
• Apply for state, federal, or institutional financial aid;
• Join the United States Armed Forces or Illinois National Guard; or
• Pursue other postsecondary opportunities.
The transcript processing fee per transcript required for all students will apply.
Duplicate Diploma Request
Graduates in need of a duplicate or replacement diploma can request one by printing, completing and returning a Duplicate Diploma Request form by mail along with a check or money order. Please be aware that official transcripts will show a degree or certificate has been earned.
Reverse Transfer of Credit Request
Students who earned at least 15 credit hours at Moraine Valley before transferring to a public university in Illinois can request a transcript evaluation to determine if the reverse transfer of credit would result in the conferral of an associate's degree. Students must have earned at least 60 credit hours from their university. Moraine Valley will evaluate the university transcript and determine if credits will fulfill any remaining degree requirements at Moraine Valley. Public university students should contact their university Registrar’s office to learn more about participating.
